Growing up in the eighties, I remember many years of cherishing the Anne of Green Gables books. I owned the series and read them more times than I remember. We got the DVD in the nineties and my father would watch it with me! He's such a softie. Now, as an adult, we fight over the ownership, since he's in California and I'm in Arizona. A very cherished memory!

The Process

I made this bear for a special girl I knew. It was a birthday present and a labor of love. I know she cherishes it.

This year I started working full time again. I found a local flower shop that sold on consignment and tried out some bears there. I sold a few but found that what I'd made was never exactly what they wanted. I decided to go back to making my bears on demand and took a much needed break.
