I am very creative with my own patterns, but not good with writing them down, so I just share what others have designed with my twist on them.
The bear pattern from Bluebeary Treasures by Sue Pendleton was for a 3.5" bear. I used a bigger yarn and hook and ended up with a 16"-18" bear. People asked for characters so I designed them, like my Raggedy Ann & Andy bears. I really enjoy the challenge of making a character bear. Especially when you can obviously tell it's the character in question. (Example: see below. Flamingo Bears or my Winnie the Pooh and Friends)
